About me

I have been an animal lover since I was very little. I persuaded my parents to have a puppy when I was 5 and finally asking for riding lessons paid off for my 6th birthday! Throughout my childhood we had a small scale goat farm. I was heavily involved with every aspect from feeding to kidding.

I went on to study biology through 6th form which allowed me to go on to Newcastle University to study Animal Science. Before moving on to uni life I spent 3 months in New Zealand volunteering on a Stud Bull farm. Here I had my own lamb to care for from birth, as well as the day to day running of the mountainous farm. After this amazing experience I studied hard and achieved my Bachelors degree from Newcastle University.

Whilst at uni I was introduced to McTimoney by a friend with top class event horses. I made the treatment the basis of my dissertation and went on to spend a lot of time shadowing a practitioner. Having seen the difference it can make, I knew I had to go on to study the technique myself. I was accepted into the Post graduate certificate programme in which I spent a year learning about soft tissue massage techniques. Once this was completed I moved on to the Masters Degree. Here l learnt in depth about the biomechanics and anatomy of horses and dogs, as well as the practical element of McTimoney chiropractic adjustments.

While completing the Masters degree I worked full-time at a high end livery and show jumping yard which taught me endless amounts about the industry.
